FAQ
I work for an Importer or Exporter, is WESCCON for me?
WESCCON is designed specifically as a professional development and networking space for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and service providers. To maintain a comfortable, candid, and educational environment for these attendees, we do not open registration to importers or exporters.
What is the dress code?
Business casual. Friday and Saturday night dinners are themed and costumes are encouraged! Check out the WESCCON page for dinner flyers for more information.
What should I bring?
Business cards! You never know who you'll meet while at WESCCON and there is an exhibitor raffle on Friday after sessions conclude so bring enough to drop your cards for each exhibitor and to share with new connections.

Laptop, if you plan on participating in an ACE workshop. This is a hands on workshop with limited availability. You can sign up at registration. Check your emails for early sign up prior to the conference.

Swim suit, WESCCON 2025 will be at the Rancho Las Palmas and there is a lazy river in addition to the resort pools. If you arrive on Wednesday or early on Thursday it's a great way to relax before the conference.

What is a "jam-packed schedule"?
From the first reception on Wednesday to Sunday morning, WESCCON keeps the energy high and the calendar full. Here’s a peek at what we mean:
Wednesday Evening
Start your WESCCON adventure at the Early Bird Reception with drinks, food, and good company. Planning to golf? Be sure to arrive Wednesday—tee time is early Thursday and you won’t want to miss the lunch and prizes!
Thursday
Golfers head out early for the Annual Golf Tournament. Meanwhile, the Registration Desk opens in the afternoon—pick up your name tag, drink tickets, and goodie bag while enjoying snacks and visiting with our exhibitors. Tennis fans? Meet in the lobby for the tournament! Then wrap up the day with our Opening Reception and a Dessert Hospitality Suite.
Friday & Saturday
These are the heart of the conference, with keynote breakfast and lunch, industry panels, and can't-miss general sessions. Topics this year (2025) include cargo theft prevention, debugging PGA errors, shifting trucking risks, and CBP updates on the ports and time of entry. There's something valuable for everyone—whether you’re a broker, forwarder, or just trying to survive the current trade landscape. And in true WESCCON style, you’ll mix learning with plenty of networking, cocktails, and themed dinners.
Sunday
We close out the weekend with a final Networking Brunch Reception. One last chance to connect before heading home!
Is there a WESCCON app with updated conference information and maps?
Yes! For those registered for the conference the app download details for apple and android will be released a week prior to the conference. Look out for an email with details.
With the app you can customize your schedule with the events that you want to attend, chat with other attendees, take notes, fill out the session surveys, get real time updates and notifications, speaker bios, hotel and exhibitor maps, hotel information (check in, check out, parking, etc.) and more!
